This policy explains what we do with the personal information you give us through this website. It is written to meet our obligations under the Protection of Personal Information Act, 2013 (POPIA).

What we collect
When you fill in the enquiry form on this site, we collect your name, email address, business name, and, if you give it, your phone number, the product groups you are interested in, and anything you write in the message box.
Our website also records standard technical information such as your IP address and browser type. This is generated automatically by our hosting and is used to keep the site running and secure.
Why we collect it
We use what you send us to reply to your enquiry, to arrange a call or a visit, to quote you, and to supply you if you go on to order. We do not use it for anything else without asking you first.
We do not sell your information, and we do not share it with anyone for marketing purposes.
Who else sees it
Your enquiry is stored and sent by the services that run this website, which means a small number of suppliers necessarily handle it on our behalf:
- Our web and email hosting provider, which stores the website and delivers our email
- The form software that processes your submission
These suppliers act on our instructions and are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes. Some of them operate servers outside South Africa.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries for as long as we are in contact with you and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. Where we go on to supply you, we keep records for as long as the law requires us to. If you ask us to delete your information sooner, we will, unless we are legally required to keep it.
Keeping it safe
Our website uses an encrypted connection, and access to our email and website is limited to the people who run the business. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you give us.
Your rights
Under POPIA you have the right to:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct anything that is wrong
- Ask us to delete information we no longer need
- Object to how we are using your information
- Complain to the Information Regulator
To do any of the first four, email us at info@eurostrawsafrica.co.za. We will respond within a reasonable time and will not charge you for it.
Complaining to the Regulator. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you can lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator of South Africa. Details of how to do this are on their website at inforegulator.org.za.
Cookies
This website uses a small number of cookies that are necessary for it to work properly. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. You can block cookies in your browser settings, though parts of the site may then not work as expected.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top tells you when it last changed.
